I have no experience with the smaller machines like this, so I wondered if anybody would be able to tell me anything about them? I've searched Google but I can't seem to find anything on this particular model. I've got some pictures but they aren't very clear (many apologies!) Kind regards |

| 643 forum posts 34 photos | I have seen one of those but not running. They are quite small and I guess they are a bit of a compromise. Unlike Denford, Boxford are not very helpful as regards information so if it isn't working then you will have to either pay a huge amount to Boxford or refit it with mach 3 or something similar. The refit route is neither difficult or expensive and there are plenty of people on here who havedone tthis and will be able to help you. David. |

| 396 forum posts 44 photos | This sort of machine was only ever ment to be a training machine in order to demonstrate tool paths etc. and not intended for removing a lot of meterial. I use to have a Denford Orac for turning batchs of small components, which did what it was supposed to do, but was slow and painful to program. |

RapidPRO
Allows the user to create solid objects designed using any CAD system capable of saving files in .STL format, a common standard in the 3D CAD world. RapidPRO imports a solid model and, using a special “wizard”, takes just a few clicks to “slice” the model. The slices are then cut out of sticky-backed paper in conjunction with a vinyl cutter (for instance a Roland CAMM-1), nesting as many slices as possible on a sheet to minimize paper usage. To further minimize material costs, the model can be scaled and the required number of sheets is displayed at any chosen scale.
